I grew up in Russia and moved to Austin, TX about 8 years ago.

I cant really say when exactly I started designingÉ I know when I was little Id wrap sheets or pretty blankets around me and pretend they were dresses of Marie Antoinette era. Growing up during a deficit of anything original available to wear or decorate our homes with I think made my mom and me very creative with using whatever is around to rework it to fit our taste and personalize it by adding hand finishing touches.

I guess it also made me a pretty good problem solver since we had to work with very limited resources. I like my designs to combine unconventional colors and shapes and include interesting, special details. I also incorporate all kinds of textiles and materials, using various techniques of treating and manipulating to achieve a visually stunning and unique image. My designs are often one of a kind, made with love and care to fit a particular person or event.

I love to see other artists creative outcomes in whatever media they choose and especially when recycled materials are involved. I hope every person starts thinking green and does some steps towards saving our planet.
